Sumidouro is a place unknown in turistic guides, although rich in natural sites ! Sumidouro owns an exuberant nature, but infortunately it is underexploited and underestimated by its own inhabitants. Conde d'Eu falls, situated some ten kilometers to the south from the main village.

Vale da Boa Ventura, situated one kilomemeter to the north from the urban perimeter.

Sumidouro das Pedras, is a section of Paquequer river where before its waters disapeared in an underground way.

Ponte Seca, situated some ten kilometers to the south from the main village. It is a bridge ruin of the ancient The Leopoldina Railway Co.

Santa Mônica Farm, situated some ten kilometers to the south from the main village. It is a monument from the coffee culture of the XIXth century. We can find many documents once owned by the Baron de Aquino.

Barra de São Francisco Valley, situated some fiften kilometers to the north from the main village. Beautifull meanders of Paquequer river.

Terra Fria, situated in southern southwestern regions of the commune. Includes the hamlets caled Campinas and Dona Mariana which shows some primary forests and many tipical fam landscapes.

Serra dos Italianos, situated four kilometers to the northeast from the village. Ideal for mountain walks. Exuberant landscape of the Duas Barras commune.

Torre is the name of the great granitic mountain which overlooks the main village. Its an ideal site for treking, country bike and pargliding.
